Custom windows, lamps, gift boxes in stained glass, etched or beveled designs, etched and carved glassware, mirrors, windows and more. Antique window restorations can also be done, either on site, or at the studio, as long as the window can be examined and transported safely. Hot glass work including; bead work, jewelry, vases, plates, lamps, windows and castings. Custom woodwork and mosaic creations round out the theme nicely. This site will introduce the artist and the work done in the studio. There will be links to take you to places within the studio and other artistic avenues associated with Terrapin Studio in and around the Black Hills of South Dakota.. Terrapin Studio’s Mission:My goal is to bring fourth beautiful, artistic creations for everyone to enjoy for years to come in the comfort of their own home. To create an outlet for glass artists, students and clients to find supplies, take classes, attend special glass events including visiting artists and teachers. A place where those not wanting to settle for what’s in stock, feel comfortable to co-create a design. To make the beauty of stained glass and woodwork possible, not impossible. Although prices will differ according to size and design, this doesn’t mean an absolutely stunning piece would be priced too high to touch. To create a source of custom windows, architectural and specialty glass products for architects, builders, contractors and cabinet makers. Giving them a place to co-create with their clients, enhancing and expanding their finished product. Color therapy is an essential part of stained glass and woodworking designs, since there’s nothing more soothing to the soul than having the sun shine through a window created in your own personal color schemes, or a table, cabinet, or lamp enhanced with your own custom stained glass designs and finish.
